With 62 riders entered for the European Talent Cup event at the famous Ricardo Tormo circuit the qualifying was split into two groups.

In the first group, Fenton Seabright worked hard to do his best to mitigate the penalty he has to suffer in the first race of the weekend. He clocked a lap time of 1:44.690 which placed him seventh in his group in Q1. The riders were unable to improve on their lap times during the second session but Seabright finished sixth overall.

Jack Hart rode in the second qualifying group. Like Seabright in the first group his best lap time came in the morning session. Hart completed 21 laps, saving the best to the end. His last lap time of 1:43.687 put him just 0.179 seconds behind the fastest rider and third. Hart was fast again in the second qualifying session finishing fourth, although his Q1 time was his best.

Race Direction will now amalgamate the groups starting with the group that had the fastest rider of the day then alternating between the two qualifying groups.

We think this means Jack Hart will line up at the end of row two in sixth place, but we are awaiting confirmation. Seabright could start from around 13th, although in race one he has to suffer a 12 place grid penalty.
