Team owner Gary Wilson confirmed that his two 250cc Moto3 riders TJ Toms and Charlie Atkins, who compete in the standard class of Hel Performance British Motostar Championship, would be racing in Germany on the MotoGP weekend of the 15th to 17th July.

After three rounds TJ Toms is currently leading the Moto3 standard class, which is a support series to British Superbikes. The series is made up of 22 races at 20 venues throughout the UK and is seen as a breeding ground for up and coming motorcycle racing talent.

At the beginning of 2015 Gary Wilson had moved to Almeria in southern Spain to semi-retire but having been involved in motorcycle racing all his life he soon abandoned his new lifestyle to set up a new team to compete in the British Motostar series standard class, along with his partner Nikita Cartwright.

Wilson’s experience in motorcycle racing is huge having taken the rider Chris Martin up to GP class when he rode for Team Seedorf in 2003. Having also worked at the TSR team in the 250 GP class with Nobby Ueda and Stuart Edwards it perhaps is no surprise that one of his riders is currently leading the championship.

Gary Wilson, “The whole team are really looking forward to the opportunity of racing on such a big circuit and the atmosphere of a MotoGP weekend will be an unbelievable experience for my two young riders. They will get the opportunity to compete against top class riders in the Northern European Cup event at the Sachsenring.”

However, the team will have to concentrate on the domestic championship as the next round for Wilson Racing of the Motostar Championship will be at Knockhill on 24-26 June 2016.”
