Wilson Racing continued their positive start to the British Talent Cup season with Ryan Hitchcock taking two top ten finishes, Josh Hiatt picked up his first championship points and James Cook recovered from electrical problems in race one to finish 11th in race two. Qualifying Friday had seen to very wind-blown free practice sessions. It was proving tough for the young riders on such light-weight machines both all three did well. Saturday morning the weather was bright but the wind was still strong for qualifying. James Cook was rewarded with a 12th place spot on the grid for race one after clocking a 2:08.939 lap time on his Honda Moto3. Ryan Hitchcock would line up 14th and Josh Hiatt 23rd. 3 top-ten finishes for Wilson Racing

James Cook and Ryan Hitchcock took three top ten finishes between them at Donington Park, for the Dronfield Moto3 racing team. The Honda British Talent Cup finally got underway at Donington Park last weekend. Wilson Racing has always been a team to provide an environment in which to develop young motorcycle racing talent. This year’s line up of three riders would all like to go on and emulate previous team members like Max Cook and Scott Ogden who have gone through Wilson Racing and on to Moto3 Junior World Championship, just one stop below World level. Qualifying James Cook was the fastest of the three new riders clocking 1:20.409 to qualify 9th for race one. Team mate Ryan Hitchcock clocked the 12th best time. Both riders were promoted one grid spot after an infringement from another rider. The number 57 Josh Hiatt would start 22nd on the grid. Wilson Racing return to the UK to take on the challenge of the British Talent Cup with a three rider line up and a new title sponsor in Fwd Motion. FWD Motion is an experienced, full-service creative agency, specialising in boosting brands for global, national and local organisations. They have provided a completely new look for the 2020 Wilson Racing Moto3 machines. The Barnsley based team won the British Motostar standard class Moto3 title in 2017 with Max Cook, whilst last year they took to the podium in the ultra-competitive European Talent Cup. Restored to the BSB Paddock for 2020 they field a completely new rider line up. 17-year-old Josh Hiatt from Cannock has two year’s previous experience of a standard Moto3. Last year he finished fifth in the British Motostar standard class. Hiatt is joined by two 12-year-old racers who will embark on their first ever competitive races on a Honda NSF250R this year.
